Love Casts Out Fear

We live in a culture of fear- people are mistrustful of others, of the government and of the dangers in society. Certainly it is wise to be cautious when we are facing a real danger such as an icy road or a wild animal. Sometimes though, fear can be irrational and may lead to excessive worrying and eventually, physical or emotional problems that are difficult to resolve on our own.  At these times, it's important to remind ourselves that we are loved, and that love has the power to cast out fear.

Human love, of course, is integral to our relationships and daily lives, but it is not perfect.  Only Divine love is perfect, accepts us fully and completely as we are, and is given freely, without restriction.  We simply have to create space within and ask, in a quiet moment, to be given the gift of God's love and then affirm that it is so.

We can be freed from fear when we know that we are loved, because we can trust that, no matter what our present circumstances, all things will work out for the best.

Breathe in fully and deeply, creating space for the gift of Divine love, healing, and protection. This love is free flowing and unmeasured; there is no fear of lack. Affirm that you are cared for and that all will be well.  Then release the love that now fills your heart, first to yourself, then out into the world.
